For the young woman that currently wears the crown
You are the embodiment of what this program is all about.

Dearest Friends, Family and Miss Malden Supporters,

Welcome to our Miss Malden webpage! I am truly belssed!  What an honor it is to be Miss Malden 2005!  The Miss America Organization has equipped me with so many intangible benefits.  I am a 2005 graduate of Lincoln University and recently achieved my career goal of becoming a fifth grade teacher at School of the Osage.

Formally as a student and now as an educator, I have seen students get caught in the cycle of simply doing as they are told and not striving for more. As a result, I created a workshop called “Goal Power,” which teaches youth how to set and achieve goals using a simple seven step process.  By teaching youth how to set and achieve goals, they are given the power and responsibility to create success in their own life.  This year I hope to reach as many young people as possible.  If you are interested in having this workshop presented to a group of young people, please contact me at ashley@missmalden.com.

I played Liberace's rendition of “Chopsticks” for the 2005 Miss Malden competition.  Playing the piano has been a love since I was eight years old.  I now have my own studio where I enjoy instructing several beginner piano students.

Thank you for visiting this web page.  I am looking forward to an awesome year as Miss Malden and competing at Miss Missouri.  I owe a huge thanks to the Miss Malden Board of Directors for their encouragement and enthusiasm.  I look forward to working with them throughout the year. I am also very grateful to my family and friends for their love and support as I strive to achieve my dreams.
